White Sox Announce 2010 Promotional Schedule

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox today released a complete promotional schedule for the 2010 season.

The full promotional schedule, which can be found on, includes five Kids Days, three Value Monday dates, 15 fireworks nights, along with the ever-popular Dog Day, presented by Hill's Pet Nutrition, on June 3, Elvis Night, presented by Frito Lay, on August 13 and Halfway to St. Patrick's Day, presented by Miller Lite, on September 17.

White Sox franchise legends also will be honored on several dates this season. Hawk Harrelson Night, presented by Comcast SportsNet, will be held on June 8; Frank Thomas Day, which will feature a special limited-edition "Big Hurt" bobblehead, on August 29; and Faust Fest, in honor of famed White Sox organist Nancy Faust, on September 18 that will feature a Faust bobble-hands doll giveaway.

Among other notable promotional dates for 2010, there are a series of musical and cultural celebrations, along with tributes to the military and Chicago icons. Some of those dates include: Sox n' Space, presented by the Adler Planetarium and the Motorola Foundation, on April 11; Cinco de Mayo, presented by Miller Lite, on May 5; African-American Fraternity/Sorority Night on May 7; Navy Night on June 2; Gospel Music Night on June 22; 70's Night on June 23; Polish Heritage Night on July 6; Italian Heritage Night on July 27; Asian Heritage Night on July 28; Rat Pack Night, presented by Pepsi, on July 31; Police & Fire Department Night, presented by Underwriters Laboratories, on August 11; Orgullo Sox (Latin Music Night), presented by Comcast, on August 12; Greek Heritage Night on August 26; Chicago Blackhawks Night on August 27; and Oktoberfest on October 2.

The White Sox, along with all of Major League Baseball, will observe the National Day of Remembrance on September 11.

Fan Appreciation Day, presented by U.S. Cellular, is the last day of the season (October 3).
