  • Chicago White Sox Community Outreach mission

The ultimate goal of the Chicago White Sox is to compete for a championship on the field every season. We take great pride in our teams' accomplishments on the field, but just as important to the organization are our accomplishments off-the-field. The White Sox recognize and accept the responsibility to serve all Chicagoans in the greater Chicagoland community. Our outreach through Chicago White Sox Charities, the team's philanthropic arm, along with the club's year-round community relations efforts, touch the lives of our neighbors in many different ways.

In addition to the in-kind support provided by the club, White Sox Charities provides financial and emotional support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations, including those leading the fight against cancer, dedicated to improving the lives of youth through recreation and education, and those offering support to children and families in crisis. With the generous support of White Sox fans, friends and sponsors, White Sox Charities has donated nearly $15 million since its inception in 1990, striving to improve the quality of life for Chicagoans of all ages, races and genders.

To the White Sox, winning goes beyond the diamond into the community. The White Sox and White Sox Charities want to inspire, educate and embrace Chicago to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

Donation Programs
Chicago White Sox Charities

We realize that fundraising events are an integral activity for charitable organizations. Many non-profit agencies seek in-kind support from the White Sox in the form of autographed memorabilia, photographs and game tickets for these events. During a typical year, the White Sox donate several hundred thousand dollars in in-kind support to assist thousands of community organizations in reaching their fundraising goals. By supporting charitable causes, the White Sox exercise our continued pledge to be an active member in the community, as well as make meaningful differences in people’s lives. If making a request, we kindly ask that you follow these guidelines:

Donation Requests
The White Sox will consider requests for charitable organizations in Illinois and the Greater Chicagoland area, including Northwest Indiana. Please mail or fax donation requests on organizational letterhead at least four (4) weeks prior to the event. The request must include:

  • Event date and location
  • Purpose for the request
  • Complete contact information including mailing address and telephone number
Donations address:
Chicago White Sox
Attn: Community Relations
333 W. 35th Street
Chicago, IL 60616
Fax: 312-674-5119

*All donated items will be mailed approximately two weeks prior to the event.

Due to the volume of requests we receive, the White Sox must limit donations to once per calendar year. Since demand for items is so great, there is no way we can respond favorably to each request, much as we would like to do so.
