White Sox broadcaster Ed Farmer, Brent Morel and Sergio Santos joined Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White at the Thompson Center and signed autographs to promote the need for organ and tissue donors.
Organ/Tissue Donor Awareness Night - April 12
Secretary of State Jesse White threw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game along with a young heart recipient to promote the need for organ and tissue donation.
Kids Take the Field - Friday, April 15 at U.S. Cellular Field
Youth from the Chicago White Sox Charities sponsored inner-city youth baseball programs took the field with the White Sox prior to the first pitch. Participating youth received game tickets, White Sox jerseys and caps, and a signed baseball from a Sox player.
Pierre's Pack - April 16
Youth from Elliott Donnelley Youth Center enjoyed White Sox batting practice before spending time talking with Juan Pierre on the field. The youth were provided with "Pierre's Pack" T-shirts and enjoyed the game from a suite, complete with food and drink, all courtesy of Pierre.
Family Field Day and Garage Sale - May 14, 2011
Family Field Day took place Saturday, May 14. Fans were able to enjoy the field from the players' perspective by playing catch in the outfield, warming up in the bullpens, sitting in the dugout and even visiting the home clubhouse. Sox for Strays - May 19
If you're attending the game, be sure to stop outside of Gate 5 to visit with Jamie Buehrle and adoptable dogs from Illinois Doberman Rescue and Recycle Rotts. As part of Sox for Strays, a program supported by the Buehrles that features adoptable dogs and supports local shelters, they will be collecting supplies. Fans who bring a donation will be entered to win an autographed Mark Buehrle item. Their wish list includes dog food, toys, dog beds, stamps, leashes, collars and long distance phone cards. Sox for Strays will partner with a different Chicagoland shelter each month.
RBI Captain Meet and Greet - Thursday, June 9 at U.S. Cellular Field
To improve RBI participant morale and encourage sustained participation in the program, White Sox current team members and broadcasters serve as honorary "Team Captains." RBI teams take part in a special meet and greet with their "Team Captain" during the White Sox season and receive a jersey featuring their captain's name, a signed photo, and a personalized letter.
Celebrity Bowling Classic - June 12, 2011
The second annual White Sox Celebrity Bowling Classic, presented by Miller Lite, took place June 12. Several White Sox team members were in attendance to support the fundraiser. Gordon Beckham, Harold Baines, Edwin Jackson. Brent Lillibridge, Will Ohman, Juan Pierre, Sergio Santos, Chris Sale, Mark Teahen and many others traded in their cleats for bowling shoes and threw strikes to benefit pediatric cancer research and treatment programs at Children's Memorial and University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

The White Sox players' wives hosted an intimate culinary fundraiser at Texas de Brazil, located in downtown Chicago, with their husbands attending as servers. Guests will enjoyed a tasting menu that combined the cuisine of southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas, complimented with Texas de Brazil's signature cocktail the Caipirinha, all served by their favorite White Sox players. The 2011 Chicago White Sox Charities Week - August 14-21
Chicago White Sox Charities Week was a week long campaign to raise funds for White Sox Charities. Fans participated in fun events like the White Sox Wives Brown Bag Sale and the Ultimate Fundraising Challenge. Throughout the week White Sox team members took part in several outreach events, visiting with pediatric patients at Children's Memorial, spending time with members of the military, hosting a clinic for Special Olympians and distributing food to those in need. Roberto Clemente - September 14
Prior to the game, the White Sox Roberto Clemente nominee will be honored on the field prior to the game. The award pays tribute to Roberto Clemente's lasting legacy and recognizes players who best represent the game of Baseball through sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contributions, both on and off the field.
