August 30 - Volunteer Corps Day at the Ballpark
Join us at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 for White Sox Volunteer Corps Day at the ballpark. Specially-priced tickets will be offered to all Volunteer Corps members, their family and friends. As an added bonus, for each ticket purchased you will be entered to win the opportunity to deliver the line-up card to the game on August 30. September 6 - Larry A. Pogofsky Chicago All-Star Softball Challenge
We are looking for 12 volunteers to help with the special Kids Clinic prior to the softball game on Saturday, September 6 at the Schaumburg Boomers Stadium located at 1999 Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg. Volunteers will need to arrive at 1:30 p.m. for the Kids Clinic and 2:00 p.m. for game check-in. September 10 - Lunch with USO
In recognition of the September 11 Day of Service and Remembrance, the White Sox are partnering with USO of Illinois to serve lunch for the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces. We are looking for 25 volunteers to join us on Wednesday, September 10 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Donnelly Armory located at 1910 S. Calumet in Chicago. September 13 - Bike Build Event in partnership with FirstMerit Bank
We are looking for 60 volunteers to join us on Saturday, September 13 for a bike build event which will take place from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the north end of Parking Lot A at U.S. Cellular Field.
Because of the physical nature of the service we will be completing, we do not suggest bringing children under the age of 12, and all volunteers under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All volunteers will be asked to fill out a waiver at registration before serving; those under the 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign for them. Upon check-in, you will be assigned to a small group. Each group will be provided with small tools and bike parts to build the bike. Please come dressed in comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty. Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately for the weather - this event will take place rain or shine. Snacks and water will be provided.
