Baseball teams have been gearing up for the season in Florida for about a century. Today, the Grapefruit League boasts 18 clubs, ranging from the hometown hero Florida Marlins -- still aglow over their 2003 World Series victory -- to the AL champion New York Yankees and their re-tooled rival Boston Red Sox.
Autograph seekers would be well-advised to pack extra pens, since there will be a slew of big stars making their debuts with new teams. Among players sporting new uniforms will be Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte (Astros), Curt Schilling (Red Sox), Gary Sheffield (Yankees), Miguel Tejada (Orioles) and Kazuo Matsui (Mets.) Also sure to draw a crowd are AL and NL Cy Young Award winners, Roy Halladay (Blue Jays) and Eric "Game Over" Gagne (Dodgers.)
