- (0-1) 8.10 ERA 2 SO
With Scott Baker's strained right groin muscle keeping him a question mark for his next start, the Twins decided to call up Slowey. The right-hander has not pitched in the Majors since April 3, when he left his start after just 3 1/3 innings with a right biceps strain. After letting the injury heal during a DL stint, Slowey headed to the Minors and made three starts there. He last pitched for Triple-A Rochester on May 1, giving up two earned runs over five innings. He allowed two walks and struck out nine. Slowey is 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in two career starts against Chicago.
