We are particularly looking for SEAT VENDORS, who walk the stadium selling beverages and snacks. Vending is one of baseball's greatest traditions and is a great way to experience the excitement of every game.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities needed to be a Seat Vendor are:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age to sell food products
  • Availability to work 25 games throughout the baseball season, including nights and weekend and holidays
  • Self-motivated with a high level of self-confidence to aggressively sell assigned items
  • Ability to raise and project voice to market and sell product for entire length of shift
  • Superb customer service skills with a friendly, pleasant demeanor, as well as strong communication skills to communicate with guests
  • Basic math skills, so you can accurately account for cash and inventory
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dependable and punctual
  • Frequent walking throughout venue for entire length of shift
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently for entire length of shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs to 50 lbs

A Sales Associate at the Chicago White Sox will sell new season, partial, and groups ticket packages at Guaranteed Rate Field by aggressively pursuing prospects in the Chicagoland market via phone and in-stadium appointments.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manager of Inside Sales will direct the staff recruiting process which includes prospecting candidates, interviews, hiring, orientation and ongoing training for Sales Associate Program
  • Create, develop, and implement strategies to maximize revenue from the Sales Associate sales program.
  • Track progress of department by creating reports which will show ticket sales, revenue, goals, and future projections
  • Responsible for new business development of all Chicago White Sox products through face-to-face presentations, prospecting of new clients, following-up on referrals and leads, and direct phone calls
  • Responsible for instruction, oversight, continuous training
  • Maintain a sales first mentality as a key part of management team

Requirements:

  • A degree in business, communications, sports marketing or related field
  • Minimum 4 years business-to-business sales experience with proven track record of successfully developing and closing new business in a high volume sales environment
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in directly managing a staff, preferably in sales.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in working with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong marketing & sales skills, including applied analytics knowledge
  • Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional, team oriented environment; must have the ability to create and build positive and productive relationships
  • Self-starter, career oriented professional with proven oral, written and presentation skills

Ticket Sales Manager (New Business)

The Ticket Sales Manager is a critical member of the Chicago White Sox Ticket Sales management team. The Manager of Ticket Sales plays a central role in the development and implementation of our aggressive client acquisition and revenue growth program through the sale of Chicago White Sox ticket packages at Guaranteed Rate Field. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to providing supervision, direction, and ongoing support to the New Business sales team and conceptualizing and applying sales strategies, including lead procurement through outside networking and prospecting. The Manager of Ticket Sales is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of ticket sales staff and must be equipped to hold staff accountable in meeting sales goals.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manager of Ticket Sales will direct the staff recruiting process, including prospecting candidates, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and ongoing training
  • Develop, implement and track sales campaigns and strategies specifically in regard to season and flex ticket sales, group sales efforts and other promotional ticket packages
  • Track progress of department by creating reports which will show ticket sales, revenue, goals, and future projections
  • Responsible for new business development of all Chicago White Sox products through face-to-face presentations, prospecting new clients, following-up on referrals and leads, and direct phone calls

  • Plan and lead weekly sales leadership meetings, including recap of relevant sales reports and agenda items
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that organizational goals are met.

  • Perform all other duties as directed by management


Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
  • 2-3 years of prior ticket sales experience in sports/entertainment is preferred
  • Familiarity with Archtics and Microsoft CRM Platform

  • Highly motivated with a desire to make this a lifestyle and be successful
  • Strong communication and computer skills
