We are particularly looking for SEAT VENDORS, who walk the stadium selling beverages and snacks. Vending is one of baseball's greatest traditions and is a great way to experience the excitement of every game.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities needed to be a Seat Vendor are:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age to sell food products
  • Availability to work 25 games throughout the baseball season, including nights and weekend and holidays
  • Self-motivated with a high level of self-confidence to aggressively sell assigned items
  • Ability to raise and project voice to market and sell product for entire length of shift
  • Superb customer service skills with a friendly, pleasant demeanor, as well as strong communication skills to communicate with guests

Director of Business Analytics | Database Administrator | Guest Relations Representative

Director of Business Analytics

Reports to: Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Responsible for the development and implementation of the White Sox business analytic strategy. Provides data management expertise through integration of multiple data sources. Works closely with IT Database Administrator to develop the White Sox data warehouse and CRM resources. Develops face-to-face relationships with all levels of staff, including the Executive Team. Provides vital information to marketing department to maximize relationships and fan engagement. Reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.


  • Work with White Sox executive team to develop a business analytics strategy to improve the breadth and relevance of internal and external analytics use.
  • Assist in building data driven culture by mentoring, training and providing staff concise data to use in their decisions.
  • Direct the business analytics staff, collaborating with tickets sales, marketing and financial staff. Including developing short term and long-term initiatives based on customer information, sales and marketing data, and market research.
  • Through relationships with White Sox staff and outside vendors identify and implement revenue enhancing opportunities including, merchandise/concessions, ticketing, strategic pricing, marketing, inventory management, fan engagement and rewards programs.
  • Present reports to management for use in decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Implement analytical approaches, methodology, and assist in the interpretation of results.
    • Provide insights into business performance and suggests areas for and methods for improving operations.
  • Engage fans to increase satisfaction levels and increase revenue.
  • Work with the Database Administrator and outside Data Architect to identify data sources, develop solution design components, support the databases, ETL mappings and procedures and schedules.
  • As key relationships develop this job will evolve.

Database Administrator

Reports to: Senior Director of Management Information Systems

Database Administrator; SQL and CRM data expert
Serve as the primary IT liaison to the White Sox business analytic team and other White Sox data end users including CRM users. Work with outside data architect and consultant to maximize effectiveness of databases. Identify useful data sources, coordinate, and monitor transfer of data into the data warehouse. This role requires strong interpersonal skills as well as technical skills. Reports to the Senior Director of Management Information Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Data Collection

  • Develop data integration framework (source, target) and standards.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources systems, into Data Warehouse, cleansing data, transforming and loading data from multiple formats.
  • Identify database requirements by interviewing customers, analyzing department applications, programming and operations, evaluating existing systems, designing, and proposing new systems.

Data Management

  • Responsible for planning, design, development, maintenance and organization of all SQL databases. Will identify and resolve any SQL database issues.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server. Monitor systems and platforms for availability and performance and storage. Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Review and assess technical proposals regarding changes or upgrades to existing databases.
  • Provide quality control system to ensure accuracy and integrity of databases.


  • Evaluate database structures, historical design decisions, business rules and future requirements. Consider new data standards, database products, vendors and consolidation of data.
  • Research and keep abreast of new data technology for potential Data Warehouse applications.
  • Create holistic view of organization data.
  • Prepare users by coordinating and conducting training, providing information and resolving problems.
  • Assist in the evaluation of future Data Warehouse integration of CRM platforms, loyalty programs, and social media. Recommend expanded summary data. Research and recommend future in-park activations strategies including concession and novelty coupons, ticket offers, and sponsor coupons.


  • In conjunction with Analytics Director develop and build relationships with all departments of the White Sox, with particular focus on the marketing department to provide quick, accurate data for decision makers meeting organizational goals. Gain basic understanding of data visualization tools to assist Analyst in providing useful information. Challenge data use among data users.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT, the White Sox business analytic team and other White Sox end users including CRM users. Support data and reporting requirements and infrastructure teams.
  • Serve as the primary White Sox contact for data transfer integrity between:
    • Concession and Retail including Sportservice (Retail Pro and Quest) and Levy (Quest and Parametric).
    • Ticketing including Ticketmaster (Archtics and TM Host) and Stubhub.
    • Other Relationships including MLBAM, Turnkey, FroogaliT.
    • All CRM platforms.
    • Analytics department generated data.
  • Work with outside Data Architect and CRM consultants and White Sox staff to identify sources of data and related infrastructure to collect, store and present data.
  • Work collaboratively with application development and infrastructure teams.

  • Expert level understanding of Microsoft SQL Server components Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS), Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS) and Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Strong experience monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerns of data integrity.
  • Tableau, Cognos and CRM experience preferred.
  • Prefer at least 5 years active database administrator experience.

Guest Relations Representative - Day of Game, Part-Time

The Chicago White Sox are looking for Part-Time employees in our Guest Relations/Diamond Suites department for all Chicago White Sox Home Games and events at Guaranteed Rate Field. Guest Relations team members are ambassadors to both the guests and fellow team members. It is the responsibility of the Guest Relations/Diamond Suites team to commit to going the extra mile for every person entering our ballpark.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote a family atmosphere, guest enjoyment and safety to ensure game day satisfaction
  • Provide immediate service and comprehensive issue resolution to every guest
  • Operate as a steward of Guest Relations/Diamond Suites policies and to uphold Chicago White Sox regulations, ethics and directives
  • Provide accurate directions to seating locations, concessions, restrooms and other key areas of the ballpark
  • Assist guests with disabilities ensuring all needs are met
  • Communicate to the command center or management regarding any issues
  • Partner with various departments including concessions, parking, security, retail and housekeeping to make certain that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely matter
  • Meet challenges offered by every person at your Guest Relations/Diamond Suites booth using training and knowledge of the ballpark
