The Rangers will try to pull even with the .500 mark as well as the Angels when their three-game series continues at Angel Stadium on Wednesday night.

Kameron Loe will open for the Rangers. He's 4-1 with a 2.32 ERA as a starter and has allowed only six homers and 23 walks in 76 1/3 innings this season. In his last outing, Loe allowed six hits and one earned run in 5 1/3 innings for his ninth win.

The Angels will counter with John Lackey, who was born in Abilene, Texas, and played at Texas-Arlington and Grayson County College in Denison. Lackey allowed six runs in his last start, but is 6-1 with a 2.43 ERA in 12 starts since the All-Star break.

The Rangers fell on Tuesday, 2-1, as Bartolo Colon earned his 20th win for the Angels. Michael Young doubled and scored the Rangers' only run.

Young is 16-for-38 (.421) with two doubles, a triple, two homers and nine RBIs lifetime against Lackey. Young extended his hitting streak on Tuesday to a career-high 17 games and currently leads the league in batting with a .329 mark.
