The White Sox became the 22nd ballclub to take a 3-0 advantage in the World Series, 18 of which went on to win in a four-game sweep.
The last team to win the first three games without completing the sweep was the Baltimore Orioles, who beat the Cincinnati Reds in five games in 1970. No team down 0-3 has ever taken the Series to six games.
