Crede sidelined by stiff back
Ozuna takes third-base duties in opener against Dodgers
LOS ANGELES -- Joe Crede was scratched from the White Sox starting lineup with a stiff lower back prior to Tuesday's Interleague series opener at Dodger Stadium.
The White Sox third baseman, who missed all but 47 games last season after having lower back surgery, had played in 70 of the team's first 75 games in 2008. Crede has a .275 average with 15 home runs and 45 RBIs.
Pablo Ozuna replaced Crede at third, hitting sixth in the lineup. Ozuna entered the contest with 12 hits in his last 26 at-bats.
