NewsSox add familiar names in final rounds
General manager's son, Baines Jr. drafted on final day

CHICAGO -- Day 3 of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft brought a couple of familiar surnames to the White Sox organization.Tyler Williams, son of White Sox general manager Kenny Williams, was selected in the 43rd round and 1,303rd overall on Thursday. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound third baseman recently graduated from Chaparral High School in Arizona. Tyler's older brother, Kenny Jr., was taken in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft and plays for Class A Kannapolis.
In the 45th round, the White Sox picked Harold Baines Jr., son of White Sox first-base coach Harold Baines. Baines Jr. was taken 1,363rd overall. He is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound left fielder out of McDaniel College.
Baines played parts of 14 seasons with the White Sox during his 22-year career. He finished his career with 2,866 hits, 1,628 RBIs and 384 home runs.
