White Sox Join Mayor and City in Honoring Chicago's Finest
Team Plans Special Tribute to Chicago Police Department
Offering Officers Complimentary Tickets to Select Games
CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox are honoring members of the Chicago Police Department for their service and professionalism displayed during the recent NATO Summit. Each officer will receive two complimentary tickets to one of 10 select games this season. The White Sox also plan a special in-game tribute to the Chicago Police Department on Wednesday, May 23.
“Mayor Emanuel asked the White Sox organization to join the city of Chicago in honoring the men and women of the Chicago Police Department who represent the most dedicated and finest of our great city, and we are proud to recognize their service,” said White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf. “The White Sox thank these true Chicago heroes who served our city during the NATO Summit.”
“Chicago Police officers have demonstrated supreme dedication, professionalism and training,” said Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. “This is an incredible gesture by the White Sox to honor the commitment of our men and women in uniform, and I extend my most sincere gratitude to this tremendous Chicago organization.”
Sworn members of the Chicago Police Department will be offered two complimentary tickets to one of 10 select White Sox games. Details on how tickets can be redeemed will be communicated to the officers through the Chicago Police Department.
