Hello Kitty tote bag giveaway on Wednesday, September 5, now for fans with the first 50,000 tickets
LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers and partner with Sanrio® Inc. will now distribute Hello Kitty tote bags to fans with the first 50,000 tickets on September 5 (7:10 p.m. vs. San Diego). The second Hello Kitty giveaway item was added to the 2012 Dodgers promotional calendar last month following the sold out July 1 game in which a Hello Kitty Mini Bobblehead was a giveaway given away. This is the second consecutive year that the Dodgers have partnered with Sanrio in offering Dodger fans collectible co-branded giveaway items.
On September 5, Hello Kitty will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi will be on hand. Yamaguchi took over as the third Hello Kitty designer in 1980 and in her 30-year career, has guided Hello Kitty through various transformations and elevated her status as a global star icon. Currently, there are more than 50,000 varieties of Hello Kitty merchandise products sold every year in 109 countries worldwide. Yamaguchi makes personal appearances throughout the world, and conducts signings in which where she visits Sanrio stores and events and personally draws, signs and distributes pictures to fans. On September 5, Yamaguchi will draw a special Hello Kitty during pre-game which will be given away to a fan as part of the game’s lucky fan giveaway.
