WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for this week’s series vs. Detroit.
Tickets are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations. Monday is a Value Monday, with tickets as low as $7 in the upper deck and lower level tickets starting at $17. The remainder of the series (Tuesday-Thursday) features lower reserved seats as low as $20 and tickets in the upper reserved as low as $9.
The game on Monday will be televised on WCIU-TV, with Comcast SportsNet Chicago broadcasting the games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. All four games will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Dawn Harper, Olympic Silver Medalist in the 100-meter hurdles from East St. Louis (Ill.), will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

National Day of Remembrance

Ceremonial first pitch by Rick Kolomay Rick Kolomay, Carol Stream (Ill.) Fire Chief, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. After witnessing the 9/11 attacks, Kolomay helped assemble a group of more than 50 firefighters from Chicagoland, who traveled to New York and upon their arrival in Lower Manhattan on September 12 immediately commenced working on search and rescue operations at the World Trade Center. Team Chicago, as the group became known, continued their work in support of their FDNY brothers day and night over the next five days after the tragedy.
Marlene Ho from Chicago will perform the National Anthem.
The White Sox join teams across Major League Baseball in paying tribute to first responders with MLB's National Day of Remembrance. There will be a special pre-game ceremony honoring the men and women of the United States Armed forces and their families. Windell Middlebrooks, the Miller High Life Deliveryman, will lead a pre-game parade for members of I.A.V.A. – Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
Wednesday, September 12, 7:10 p.m. vs. Detroit
Ceremonial first pitch by Tom Willis
Tom Willis, a man born without arms who is traveling to all major-league ballparks as part of his “Pitch for Awareness” tour to spread knowledge and understanding of the abilities of people with disabilities, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch using his right foot.
Local championship youth baseball and softball teams will be honored on-field and participate in a pre-game parade around the warning track (weather permitting).

Ceremonial first pitch by a member of the Sox Pride Club
A member of the Sox Pride Club, who will be selected this week through a White Sox social media contest, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Amanda Schnoebelen, White Sox employee from Chicago, will perform the National Anthem.
