All-Star Sunday, FanFest tickets are on sale
Attending fans get opportunity to meet some of game's biggest names
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- With the Twins scheduled to host the 2014 MLB All-Star Game at Target Field on July 15, tickets for the T-Mobile All-Star FanFest and Taco Bell All-Star Sunday are on sale.
T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, which features more than 400,000 square feet of baseball-related attractions, will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center from July 11-15.
Fans are also able to purchase tickets to Taco Bell All-Star Sunday with single-game tickets ranging from $30 to $175. All-Star Sunday features the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game.
At FanFest, fans can practice their baseball skills during clinics hosted by MLB legends and current players, hit in the batting cages; view a collection of MLB trophies, including the Commissioner's Trophy; explore exhibits from the National Baseball Hall of Fame; take photos with and get autographs from former Twins players, MLB Legends and Hall of Famers and more.
All FanFest attractions are included with the price of admission, with the only additional costs coming for concessions and memorabilia. Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for children ages 12 and under, senior citizens and military personnel. Children 2 and under are admitted free. FanFest tickets are sold on a timed-entry basis, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to get preferred entry times.
Fans purchasing four to seven tickets also receive $5 off each ticket. Other promotions include the FanFest Eat and Play Combo (Two adult tickets, two children tickets, four sodas, four hot dogs for $130); Buy One Get One Free Friday (Buy one full price ticket on July 11 and get the second ticket free; Two for Tuesday (Buy two discounted adult tickets at $30 each for July 15 and get two additional tickets free) and the Digital Five-Day (a paperless five-day pass for $100 per ticket).
Additionally, fans who purchase a ticket to All-Star Sunday also receive one single admission ticket to FanFest.
The All-Star Futures Game is held as part of All-Star Sunday, and showcases top Minor League prospects and has featured current Twins Oswaldo Arcia (2012), Kyle Gibson (2011), Phil Hughes (2006), Jason Kubel (2004) and Joe Mauer (2003). Top prospects Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano represented the Twins last season.
Other players who have competed in both the Futures Game and the MLB All-Star Game include Miguel Cabrera, Jacoby Ellsbury, Robinson Cano, Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Andrew McCutchen, Mike Trout, Justin Verlander and Joey Votto.
The All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game features stars from film, music, television and entertainment teaming up with Hall of Famers and former Minnesota baseball greats immediately after the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game.
Hall of Famers such as Paul Molitor, Dave Winfield, Ozzie Smith, Rickey Henderson, Ernie Banks, Rollie Fingers and Goose Gossage have participated in the game. Celebrities who have played in the game include Jon Hamm, Jimmy Kimmel, Marisa Miller, Chris Rock, Jordin Sparks and Kate Upton.
MLB All-Star Week at Target Field includes the 85th MLB All-Star Game on July 15, Gatorade All-Star Workout Day on July 14th featuring the Home Run Derby, Taco Bell All-Star Sunday on July 13 and T-Mobile All‑Star FanFest at the Minneapolis Convention Center from July 11th-15th.
