  • Royals acquire pitcher Jason Frasor from Texas for pitcher Spencer Patton

    The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have acquired veteran right-handed pitcher Jason Frasor from the Texas Rangers in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Spencer Patton.

  • All-Stars honored with Majestic All-Star Game send-off prior to Friday game

    The three members of the Kansas City Royals who have been chosen for the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be recognized prior to Friday's 7:10 p.m. game against the Detroit Tigers. Fans should plan on arriving early and being in their seats by 7 p.m. in order to see the special pregame ceremony.

  • Royals in the Community

    The Kansas City Royals finish the first half of the season as they return home to host the Detroit Tigers in a four-game series, July 10-13. Continuing from earlier in the week, the Royals will take part in the annual Royals Blood Drive at the Community Blood Center from July 10-12. Additionally, the Royals will highlight several local programs at the ballpark through RBI Night (July 10), Big Game James Section (July 11) and Dream Factory Day at The K (July 13). Megan Coone has been selected by fans to represent the Kansas City Royals.

  • Royals Sign Left-Handed Pitcher Joe Saunders to Minor League Deal

    The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have signed veteran left-handed pitcher Joe Saunders to a minor league contract. He opened the year with the Texas Rangers, but was released on July 4. He will be assigned to Triple-A Omaha.

  • Homestand highlights: July 10-13

    The Kansas City Royals will return home on Thursday, July 10 for a four-game series before the All-Star break against the Detroit Tigers. Throughout the brief homestand, the Royals will host great events including the first ever Legends Night (July 11), Viva Los Royals (July 12) and KidsFest (July 13). In addition, fans can also get great giveaways including an All-Star Summer Guide (July 10) and the second bobblehead of the player series (July 12).

    For the second-straight season, three Kansas City Royals - catcher Salvador Perez, outfielder Alex Gordon and relief pitcher Greg Holland - will represent the club at the All-Star Game, Major League Baseball announced this evening.

    The Kansas City Royals announce that shortstop Alcides Escobar is the Royals Majestic Player of the Month for June, while left-handed starter Danny Duffy is the club's Pitcher of the Month.

  • Royals Charities 5k Run/Walk set for August 2

    Royals Charities will host its annual 5K Run/Walk presented by Hy-Vee at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, August 2. The event, which begins at 8 a.m. and features a course that takes runners around the Kauffman Stadium warning track, benefits Variety Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City. The 5K is USATF certified and chip timed.
