  • Medical update on Mariners right-handed pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma

    Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto today announced the following medical update on Mariners right-handed pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma: Iwakuma underwent arthroscopic right shoulder debridement surgery on September 27. The surgery was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas, Texas. Following the surgery, Iwakuma is expected to resume throwing in 5 months.
