CHICAGO -- The World Champion Chicago White Sox will raffle three authentic 2005 World Series Championship rings, exact versions of the ones given to Sox players and staff, to benefit Chicago White Sox Charities. This once-in-a-lifetime raffle opportunity for fans to be a part of the World Series celebration will begin Friday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. and will close Monday, July 31, at 6:00 p.m.

The extravagant rings will be identical to those presented to White Sox players and coaches and will be personalized with the last name of each winner. The rings are made of 14-karat yellow gold with a 14-karat white gold insert and a White Sox logo crest on a black onyx base. Each ring contains 95 brilliant diamonds of various sizes equaling over two carats.

"White Sox fans have waited 88 years for the chance to experience a World Series Championship in Chicago," said Christine O'Reilly, White Sox senior director of community relations. "This championship is about them. What better way to thank them for a century of loyalty than to give them an opportunity to win a genuine World Series ring? We hope they are excited that they, too, can have a World Series ring of their very own as a priceless souvenir of our 2005 season. Not only does the ring symbolize a championship, but also a great team in a great city with amazing fans."

A maximum of 100,000 raffle tickets will be sold. Raffle tickets will be available at U.S. Cellular Field during White Sox home games; at the Gate 4 Box Office (open 10-6 Monday-Friday; 10-4 Saturday-Sunday) when the team is on the road; and online at (Illinois residents only). Each ticket costs $20.

Sox players and coaches received their Championship rings on Tuesday, April 4, during pregame ceremonies. The rings were designed by Martyl Reinsdorf, wife of Jerry Reinsdorf, an accomplished jewelry designer who also designed five of the six Chicago Bulls Championship rings.
