CHICAGO -- Monday's Opening Day game between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals has been postponed due to the forecast of snow, cold and high winds and rescheduled for Tuesday at 1:05 p.m. Scheduled Opening Day festivities now will take place on Tuesday.
It marks the White Sox first season-opening postponement since 1982, when each of their first five scheduled games from April 6-10 were snowed out.
Tickets for Monday's opener will be good on Tuesday or may be exchanged for a similar or lesser valued ticket (based on availability) for White Sox home games from April 8-10 or April 27-29.
Comcast SportsNet Chicago and WCSR Radio (The Score 670 AM) will broadcast the game.
