White Sox announce 2010 broadcast schedule

The Chicago White Sox, Comcast SportsNet, WGN-TV, WCIU-TV and WSCR Radio (670 AM) have announced the team's television and radio broadcast schedules for the 2010 season.
Comcast SportsNet (CSN) televises 101 regular-season White Sox games, starting with Opening Day on Monday, April 5 vs. Cleveland (1:05 p.m. CT).
CSN also will televise the White Sox road opener on Monday, April 12 at Toronto (6:20 p.m. CT).
WGN televises 30 White Sox games, starting with the club's second game of the season vs. the Indians on Wednesday, April 7 at 7:10 p.m. CT, while WCIU starts its 25-game White Sox schedule on Friday, April 9 vs. Minnesota at 7:10 p.m. CT.
Five White Sox games air nationally as part of the FOX Saturday "Game of the Week" schedule, beginning on April 17 at Cleveland (3:10 p.m. CT). All Comcast SportsNet, WGN and WCIU telecasts will be available in high definiton in 2010.
Flagship radio station WSCR Radio (670 AM), featuring the broadcast team of 19-year radio veteran and former Sox pitcher Ed Farmer on play-by-play and former Sox outfielder Darrin Jackson on color commentary, will broadcast all 162 regular-season White Sox games. Univision Radio's La Tremenda (WRTO 1200 AM) has extended its agreement for a sixth consecutive season to broadcast a select number of White Sox games in Spanish.
The tandem of Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Steve Stone will televise 156 regular-season White Sox games on Comcast SportsNet, WGN and WCIU. The White Sox will televise 161 games this season with 60 telecasts over-the-air and the other 101 available through cable and satellite systems. The nine games scheduled as Comcast SportsNet Plus (CSN+) games are located on CLTV in the Chicago market-area. Viewers in other areas should visit CSNChicago.com for CSN+ channel locations.
WGN airs the first game of the crosstown series against the Chicago Cubs when the White Sox travel to Wrigley Field on Friday, June 11 (1:20 p.m.). FOX televises the middle game on Saturday, June 12 (3:10 p.m.), and CSN carries the third game on Sunday, June 13 (1:20 p.m.). When the White Sox host the Cubs on June 25-27, WGN televises Friday's game (3:05 p.m.), while Saturday evening's game airs on FOX (6:10 p.m.). Sunday's game will be televised on CSN with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
This season, the White Sox will start all weeknight home games at 7:10 p.m., while FOX home games, which air on WFLD-TV locally, begin at
3:10 p.m., with the exception of the June 26 game (6:10 p.m.).
In addition to the games on April 17 and June 12 and 26, the other White Sox Saturday telecasts on FOX are April 24 vs. Seattle and September 18 vs. Detroit.
