Ramirez hit .417 (10-for-24) with six doubles, nine RBIs and a homer in seven games this week. He also scored six runs and ranked second in the league with a .792 slugging percentage as the White Sox won five of seven games.
The 29-year-old matched his career high in hits and RBIs in his 4-for-5, five-RBI afternoon against the Dodgers on Sunday, when he hit two doubles and a homer in the 8-3 win. He was also 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs on Saturday.
It's the first career weekly honor for Ramirez, who joins teammates Carlos Quentin (April 1-3) and Paul Konerko (April 4-10) as 2011 recipients.
Ramirez's efforts this week helped the White Sox improve to 20-4 in their last 24 Interleague games, plus sweep a two-game set against the first-place Indians.
Chicago is back in action Monday against the Rangers at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
