White Sox 'Charities Week' to feature two special auctions
WGN-TV Hosts Live 'Ultimate Auction' on Saturday; Comcast SportsNet Chicago Hosts the '1983 Jerseys Off Our Back' Auction on Sunday

CHICAGO - The Chicago White Sox will host two live auctions culminating White Sox Charities Week. The specially televised in-game online auctions, one Saturday and one Sunday, feature unique and premium prizes, White Sox memorabilia and VIP experiences.
Tomorrow, WGN-TV again will feature the "Ultimate Auction" on Saturday, July 27. The live online auction will feature premium items and experiences available for fans to bid on at whitesox.com, including the following:
The winner of this package will have the chance to enjoy dinner in the Scout Lounge with Bill Veeck's Grandson, Night Train Veeck. The winner will also receive a set of green seats, a brick and a commemorative framed ticket sheet from the final game at the Old Comiskey Park, as well as four Magellan Scout seat tickets.
This unique experience includes the opportunity to be an honorary bat kid for the day at U.S. Cellular Field. The package also includes: announcing when gates open, the chance to say "play ball", having their name displayed on the scoreboard, an in-seat visit from Southpaw and a life-sized cutout of Southpaw. The winner also will receive four premium lower box tickets and a parking pass to the game on August 26.
Roger Bossard Package
Fans can bid on the chance to work as an official grounds crew member for a day with Roger Bossard. The opportunity includes the chance to prep the field before the game, drag the infield and change the bases. The package also includes four premium lower box tickets, a parking pass, a base from U.S. Cellular Field and a take-home lawn care kit, including a piece of sod from U.S. Cellular Field.
This package includes autographed 1983 memorabilia from Tony LaRussa, Carlton Fisk, LaMarr Hoyt, Greg Luzinkski and Ron Kittle, along with a poster autographed by many 1983 team members. Additionally, the winner will have the opportunity to have their photo taken on-field with Harold Baines (includes tickets & parking).
Fans can bid on a Stan Mikita autographed hockey stick and the opportunity to be on the field on September 10, Blackhawks Night at U.S. Cellular Field, for pre-game festivities before the game. The winning bidder also will receive a zamboni ride with tickets to a future Blackhawks game.
WGN Press Pass Package
This special broadcast experience includes dinner in the Magellan Scout Lounge with Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Steve Stone, a behind-the-scenes tour of the WGN-TV broadcast truck, a tour of the White Sox press box, a visit to the television broadcast booth and on-camera introduction during the game. The winning bidder also will attend the post-game press conference and receive four premium lower box tickets.
Spring Training Trip
Fans can bid on a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the White Sox Spring Training Facility in Glendale, Ariz. The getaway includes a behind-the-scenes tour of Camelback Ranch, a meet and greet with White Sox players and the opportunity to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a 2014 Spring Training game. Also included is a $1,000 American Express travel voucher (all other travel expenses are not included) and two sets of tickets to 2013 Spring Training games. This package is for a mutually agreeable game date during the 2014 Spring Training season.
Beginning at 4:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, July 27, fans can place bids on the auction items at whitesox.com/ultimatebid, with the auction closing at 8:00 p.m. CT that same evening.
Comcast SportsNet Chicago will feature the "1983 Jerseys Off Our Back" Auction during their broadcast on Sunday, July 28. The auction will feature 1983 jerseys worn and autographed by select players in that afternoon's White Sox game vs. Kansas City. Viewers will have the opportunity to bid on the jerseys throughout the game online.
Beginning at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday, July 28, fans can place bids on the auction items at whitesox.com/jerseyauction, with the auction closing at 3:00 p.m. CT that same afternoon.
