DETROIT -- The White Sox scored two runs in the fourth inning to tie the Tigers on Tuesday night, but their inning ended with Detroit manager Brad Ausmus' successful challenge of a stolen base.
With two outs, Conor Gillaspie attempted a steal of second. Crew chief Tim Welke initially called him safe, but after a one-minute and 56-second review, the call was overturned and Gillaspie was ruled out.
Shortstop Eugenio Suarez received the throw from catcher Bryan Holaday and put the tag on Gillaspie, whose front leg missed the bag on the slide. Saurez left the game in the bottom of the inning with lower back tightness.
