Williams has begun to make a strong case to be a mainstay in the Angels' rotation. The right-hander threw eight shutout innings against the Mariners his last start and has had three straight quality starts.

For the third start in a row, Davis couldn't make it through the sixth inning Tuesday at Houston. He allowed three runs on seven hits with four walks. Davis got the win in a 9-5 victory on May 15, but gave up nine hits and four runs in 5 1/3 innings.
