With just over two weeks of voting left, the Orioles are continuing their push to be well-represented at Major League Baseball's All-Star Game in New York this July by hosting four Vote Orange rallies over the next week.
The Orioles today announced that they have recalled LHP ZACH BRITTON from Triple-A Norfolk, who is scheduled to start tonight at Detroit, and selected the contract of INF TRAVIS ISHIKAWA from the Tides.
Hundreds of youth from the Brooklyn O’Malley Boys and Girls Club and members of their community will have access to the latest technology thanks to a $75,000 donation from OriolesREACH and Boys and Girls Club alumnus ADAM JONES designated to renovate and expand a Technology and Learning Center within the Club’s facility at 3560 3rd Street. When complete, the renovation will enhance the Club’s ability to provide educational support, computer skill development and career enrichment, college preparatory and STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) programs to these at-risk and underserved members. The new Technology and Learning Center will also be utilized by community members for employment search, financial literacy, GED and career and educational support.
The Orioles, in a continued effort to support Major League Baseball in the PEOPLE Magazine Tribute for Heroes program, are asking fans to vote for one of three finalists to represent the Baltimore Orioles at the 2013 MLB All-Star Game.
The Orioles tonight selected RHP HUNTER HARVEY of Bandys (NC) High School with their first selection of the 2013 First Year Player Draft, the 22nd overall pick of the draft. The Orioles also selected OF JOSH HART at #37 overall from Parkview (GA) HS and CA CHANCE SISCO at #61 overall from Santiago (CA) HS.
Following a tremendous result in MLB's initial All-Star Game ballot update that featured seven Orioles as early voting leaders, the Orioles have announced a series of Vote Orange rallies aimed to further boost the efforts of the Vote Orange Campaign launched in April.
This afternoon, Major League Baseball announced the first balloting update for the 2013 All-Star Game at Citi Field in New York. Orioles 1B CHRIS DAVIS and OF ADAM JONES are currently in line to start the game at their respective positions.
