The White Sox came to Kansas City on a four-game losing skid, while Tuesday starter Jose Contreras came in riding a four-game win streak. Fortunately for Chicago, Contreras extended his good fortune with 5 2/3 solid innings to knock the White Sox magic number down to 13 in the AL Central race.
