Jermaine Dye saved the White Sox from defeat and Jose Contreras' winning streak with a two-out homer in the ninth and keyed an 11th-inning rally to prolong what would become the longest game at U.S. Cellular Field. Tadahito Iguchi's RBI single finally ended the madness.
