Alex Cintron's three-run double with two outs in the second inning put the White Sox up to stay, helping them secure a three-game sweep and climb to within 5 1/2 games of the Tigers, who led the American League Central by 10 games on Monday. Freddy Garcia retired the final 12 batters he faced.
