Joe Crede hit two solo shots and Jermaine Dye hit a three-run homer in a win at Comerica Park. Freddy Garcia gave up five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, and Jim Thome and Paul Konerko each drove in a run. Thome left the game with a hamstring injury.
