The Tigers couldn't make up for the six runs that starter Zach Miner allowed in 1 1/3 innings, though Dmitri Young hit a two-run homer, Ivan Rodriguez notched an RBI single and Sean Casey hit a two-run double to bring the Tigers within one run in Game 3 of a four-game set with their closest challenger in the AL Central.
