Catcher Victor Martinez's solo home run in a three-run Tribe ninth broke a
2-2 tie, and C.C. Sabathia stayed in the game to finish off the Sox in the ninth for his Major League-leading sixth complete game. Grady Sizemore also drove in two runs.
