Yanks club eight homers
Yankees 16, White Sox 3
Bobby Abreu started the barrage with a three-run shot in the first. (Kathy Willens/AP)
Alex Rodriguez was held hitless in five at-bats, but the Yankees' offense had his back against the White Sox. The Bombers clubbed eight homers, tying a team record set in 1939. Hideki Matsui clubbed two homers, giving him 13 in July. Mike Mussina netted the win.
