Sox double up Rockies
Red Sox on verge of title
Good things came in twos for the Red Sox as they moved to within one victory of their second championship in four years. Jacoby Ellsbury matched a World Series record with two doubles in a six-run third inning as Boston jumped ahead. After the Rockies closed the gap to one run, Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia cemented the win with back-to-back two-baggers in the eighth.

Rox need one last streak
The Rockies won 21 out of 22 heading into the Fall Classic and now must win out against the Red Sox after their third straight loss. Josh Fogg built a reputation this season as a dragon slayer, but not even he could slow down Boston. The right-hander allowed six runs in the third inning, and Colorado's comeback bid fell short despite Matt Holliday's three-run jack.
