Zach Duke delivered his second complete game of the season but took the loss, as a stagnant Pirates offense lent no support to the southpaw's eight outstanding innings. Duke allowed two runs on six hits and struck out seven. Pittsburgh was held to two hits, the first of which came in the fifth.
