Nick Blackburn hopped back into first-half form with seven shutout innings and Orlando Cabrera scored three runs and drove in two as the Twins got within 2 1/2 games of the idle Tigers in the AL Central. After scoring three early runs, Minnesota added two in the sixth and eighth.
