|MLBPA Press Release|
Located on Pryor Road, The Villages at Carver Family YMCA is a collaborative effort between the Metro Atlanta Association and the historic Butler Street Association. The 55,000 square-foot facility offers a mix of recreational, social and human service programs. All programs are designed to provide people with the self-reliance and self-sufficiency, life skills and career planning and development required to participate in their personal, family and community lives.
Courtesy of the players' charitable foundation, the children will receive round-trip transportation to the game, meet the players, and receive free tickets, food, beverages and souvenirs.
This season, Buses for Baseball will provide transportation and personal greetings for more than 1,500 underprivileged children attending Major League Baseball games as invited guests of their big league heroes. Buses for Baseball will provide many of the children with their first chance to attend a Major League Baseball game.
The Players Trust enjoys support from the Atlanta Braves organization in providing this unique, up close and personal opportunity to share the thrill of Major League Baseball with those less fortunate.
